My name is Edwina Jordan, I live in Chelmsford Essex, and I love anything to do with home decor, the way wallpaper, paint, fabric or carefully chosen furniture and accessories can completely change a room always enraptures me.  To me it doesn't matter if the most expensive products or bargain bucket and charity shop or boot-sale buys are used, its the end result that matters, it could be a style from any period too, clever period interior decor can either transport you back in time or be the latest fashion.

I love painting furniture moreover I love the way paint can transform a tired, dated looking piece of furniture into something unique and up to date or by contrast a new piece of furniture into something vintage or retro.

I'm a magpie and can't walk past a skip or charity shop without having a nose around for some discarded treasure,I also love the idea that in some way by recycling my finds for re-use I'm doing my bit albeit very small for the environment and I try to use environmentally friendly waxes, water based paints and varnishes at all times too.

I offer a range of different paint techniques and styles from the popular 'shabby chic 'look,to crackle glaze, collage/decoupage, oriental, marbling,floral,stenciling and more.As well as using well known paint brands and colours to co-ordinate with your home décor I also like to blend paint colours for a unique one off finish so if I paint something of yours it could be truly unique.

Freestanding or fitted,large or small,old or new in fact anything from a jewellry box to a dresser, I can offer advice on your own projects,help and guide you through all the stages on projects I undertake for you.

My Paints Preserve Us stall at Colchester offers a selection of hand painted furniture,antiques and collectibles, vintage glassware and china as well as reproduction framed A3 size vintage film posters, vintage sweet and food advertisement posters, maps and mirrors.  Other strings to my bow include all aspects of making soft furnishings and ceramic restoration.
